Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort, Kapa'a

This hotel is a hidden gem in Kauai, providing a sense of privacy while still being conveniently located for exploring the island. The rooms are stylishly decorated and clean, though I found the staff unyielding in terms of hospitality. The resort fee includes useful amenities like a pool and bike rentals, making it decent value for money, yet some aspects of the service fell flat during my stay.

While the resort has some potential with its beachfront location, my overall experience was tarnished by numerous issues. I faced long check-in times and poor housekeeping, which definitely affected my stay. The pleasant view of the ocean from my room was a highlight, but the rocky beach wasn't ideal for swimming. Dining was a letdown, particularly with the Thanksgiving dinner that took forever, leaving me wishing I had chosen another option. Overall, some improvements are necessary for the resort to truly become a comfortable retreat.

The location right by the beach was ideal for our family, and we felt safe letting our kids play in the water.
